Detail of a tiny painting I did today, a reminder that I need to take some actually good photographs of myself to work from.

First 2 layers of a shaped water droplet experiment.
Update on the multi-drip image.
My very odd assortment of jars and pots with my watercolour mixes in.
When this dries I should have some very pale circles of colour, some more yellow than red, others more red than yellow. I then plan to build up another set of droplets and add the colours to them, over and over.
I have no idea how this will work, I don’t know what size will suit it best (probably bigger) and I don’t know what source image to work from (as this is clearly not possible to do from life).
What I do know is that I enjoy looking at it when they are both new and dry and that it incorporates the method of watercolour settling that I am most drawn to.
I am very excited to add the second layer of this tomorrow and see how it works out.
