A view of me in my hat that I wear a lot of the time in this cold weather but rarely photograph because it’s off when I’m inside. Just another facet.

Camera battery went before I could get the quality of photo I wanted but here’s my latest.

Today’s half-portrait.
I aim to finish this oil painting tomorrow before going on to add a forward facing one to the right side of the plate.
Mouth on a plate. Oils.
Not so sure I like it, might add some extra details tomorrow.
Acrylic on ceramic is not working out for me.
First image is my first “layer” where I mapped out my image then left it overnight.
Second image is how it stands now as I tried to add more to it.
Unfortunately the third image shows how the first layer ends up all bunched up and horrible.
Even though it’s just a small acrylic eye on a plate I really really like it.
One of my experiments today.
I’ve not painted with oil for about a year.
Not hugely pleased but not repulsed by it either. I think it looks like me but still doesn’t hugely capture me. I have a lot of work to do and I still very much prefer watercolour so we shall see.
