Work in progress: some Doctor Who converse for my friend Fay.
Using my painting skills on some canvas shoes. Acrylic is so different to oil, especially on such a rough surface. Bring on the plates again. Smooth smooth ceramic!
The start of my “fancy” plate. It’s such a hideous plate and is supposedly one of those used for visitors, you know, “for best”.
So I’m going to paint myself all “done up” and a bit over the top.

My first attempt at working with Gum Arabic to thicken the paint.
Might not finish this one though because I’m painting it on gesso’d board and even though I sanded it down it has obnoxious grooves in it that ruin such a tiny image.
